Road trip Part 3 #Edinburgh to #Southern Ireland

Updated: Sep 11, 2018

We left Cairnryan at 10.30 am and 2 hours later docked in the Port of Larne. We headed west across Northern Ireland over the boarder to Southern Ireland . As this was only another whistle stop visit .We only travelled along part of the wild Atlantic way taking in some beautiful sites such as Doe castle and The Gap.

As we approached our destination Rosguill peninsular. The scenery was breath taking. Golden sandy beaches and picturesque bays. Perfect for #sea kayaking, maybe next time!!

We pitched up at Rosguill campsite right on the edge of the beach, the staff were friendly, the site well presented, the view from our pitch was stunning. It cost £25 per night for a fully serviced pitch, definitely good value for money. A popular spot for #VWCampervans too.

We spent 2 lovely days strolling along the beach, taking in the sea air and of course braved another dip in the sea! As this was a taster, we will def be back to travel the whole wild Atlantic way and take in all the breath-taking scenery and Irish hospitality. We may even bring #George next time, if he’s free of course.

Our road trip ended in Carrickfergus, visiting family for a few days. A place with another lovely Castle.

Another adventure over, Look out for the next one!
